Welcome to WWW 2011 Warm Up Events !
WWW 2011 Warm Up Workshop / Contest Series
Starting with the first one held at CERN in 1994 , the International World Wide Web (WWW) Conferences constitute a series of conferences, taking place annually around May. It is a global event bringing together key researchers, policy-makers, technologists, businesses, and standards bodies that are helping define the shape of the Web. Since its inception, it has become the de-facto venue for discussions on the future of the Web.
The location varies year to year and the conference provides a healthy mixture of contributions from academia and industry. Apart from the core conference consisting of technical research tracks, other attractions of the event include tutorials, workshops, and a separate Developers' Day. The event usually spreads over 5 days. The International World Wide Web Conference Committee (IW3C2), is responsible for the series, with a different conference organizer every year.
This prestigious conference is scheduled to come to India in 2011 and will be held from 28th March to 1st April in Hyderabad. A series of warm up events are being organized in India in 2010, leading up to the WWW 2011 Conference.
The participants of these events shall get an opportunity to listen to international experts who would deliver presentations and discuss research directions in WWW areas. Participants of the final workshop shall also get an opportunity to present their own work and get the advantage of getting their paper shepherded by experts for preparation as a potential submission to WWW 2011.
The first event in this series was a workshop collocated with International Conference on Distributed Computing and Networking (ICDCN), in January 2010, Kolkata, India.
