The Second IEEE International Workshop on Self-Managed Networks, Systems & Services (SelfMan 2006) was held on 16 June 2006 in Dublin, Ireland.

SelfMan 2006 was co-located with the 3rd IEEE International Conference on Autonomic Computing and sponsored by IEEE Computer Society's Task Force on Autonomous and Autonomic Systems (TFAAS) and Technical Committee on Parallel Processing (TCPP) in cooperation with ACM SIGOPS, ACM SIGART, IEEE SMC and IFIP WG6.6.

Out of a total of 51 submissions, the SelfMan 2006 Technical Program Committee had selected a total of 12 papers, which yielded an acceptance rate below 24%. In addition, 3 work-in-progress papers were selected for short presentations.

The SelfMan 2006 Proceedings, comprising the 15 selected papers, have been published by Springer Verlag as Volume 3996 of the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) Series.

The slides of the SelfMan 2006 Panelists are available from the Technical Program page.

SelfMan 2006 was the follow-up workshop on the very successful SelfMan 2005 workshop that took place in Nice, France.
