Submissions Page
Deadline: September 30, 2005
Papers and copyright forms need to be submitted electronically at the Submission Entry link provided below. All papers need to follow the strict format requirements.
IMPORTANT REMARKS:
- All pdf files have to be IEEE compliant to be successfully uploaded.
- The IEEE PDF eXpress
link can be used to convert your documents to IEEE compliant pdf documents. All authors may use this service. However, be aware that the IEEE site does accept Type 3, bitmap fonts that are not accepted by the conference. This would most likely occur if you were using an old version of LaTeX.
- Files which fail the verification will not be entered in the database until corrections are made. Please read instructions for frequent problems.
-
The following web entry provides for the submission of your paper to the conference. You must have
JavaScript and Cookies
actived to use this submission.
-
Please have available prior to entry:
- Author information (Name, Contact, E-mail, and Organization Info)
- Title of paper and Technical Topic Area
- PDF file
-
Your PDF will be checked for IEEE compliance when uploaded. An error report will be created if errors are found. NonCompliant papers will be rejected. Error messages are sent back to the author. The biggest source of error is not embedding ALL fonts. (Using the IEEE JobOptions file that is linked at the bottom of this page resolves these issues. If the fonts are not embedded, the resultant PDF may not view properly in a PDF viewer, not just Adobe Reader.)
-
If you are submitting a revision, this is also the appropriate link. For information on PDF preparation, see the second link below.
Since "Paper Submission Number" is used in copyright submission, submit paper first, then submit IEEE Copyright Form

Notification of Acceptance will be after October 31, 2005
To aid in submission of your file to this web site, you may wish to use
IEEE PDF eXpress.
Be careful since this site does not restrict the use of Type 3 fonts.
All papers submitted must be accompanied by a copyright
release (to be done in the submission process electronically if possible).
On the submission page, a link is provided to the IEEE Copyright electronic
submission site. Be sure to complete your paper submission before completing
the Copyright submission. Click on the return button to return to the submissions page.
Note: The date on the submission form is in day/month/year
format, common in Europe.
Frequent Problems with Files That Fail Compliance:
-
Use a Single Column, no double columns
-
Turn off Adobe Acrobat Encryption or Security Settings (NO Passwords)
-
Always Use Type 1 or TrueType Fonts of at least 10pt size
-
Embed All Fonts (Not embedding fonts causes problems with other viewers such as GhostView and systems that have different fonts)
-
Subset fonts at 100%
-
Scanned PDF files are NOT acceptable
-
Do not use PDF Writer that came with earlier versions of Acrobat (AA5 and earlier)
-
Create Thumbnails (an option in the PDF creation tool)
-
Do Not include links or bookmarks (for those using Acrobat, do not use PDFMaker to
create your PDF in Office products, but simply print to the Acrobat Distiller or Adobe PDF printers)
-
The PDF must be version 1.4 or earlier. If Acrobat 6 is used to create the PDF,
be sure the compatibility has been selected in the printer and do not save once opened in Acrobat 6.
- A resolution of 600dpi should be used. For graphics this means
- 600 dpi for black & white
- 300 dpi for grayscale
- 300 dpi for color
-
Always Check Your Results
