Manuscript Submission

 

We are now accepting manuscripts for the 2007 conference. Please follow this link to upload your manuscript in either Adobe PDF or Microsoft Word (.doc) format.  

PDF is the preferred format. If any information has changed since submitting your abstract (authors, contacts, subject area) please make these changes on the paper you submit now, and enter the new information into the submission form. 

The deadline for final submission is 17:00 June 10 Pacific Daylight Time (00:00 June 11 GMT). Note that there is no provision for accepting paper manuscripts. Any late manuscripts must be sent directly to the Journal of Vacuum Science and Technology where the authors will have to follow the JVST submission procedures. If accepted, late papers will  be published in a later version of the journal.

Submission rules

The proceedings of the conference will be published in the Journal of Vacuum Science Technology. Manuscripts are limited to 4 journal pages. (No more than 16 typed double spaced pages including figures, with each figure counted as one page.) Papers will be peer reviewed. Authors are required to pay for the cost of the publication directly to the American Institute of Physics (AIP) which is the publisher of the JVST. Manuscript preparation guidelines can be found in any January/February issue of JVST. 

  • Papers can contain up to 4000 words (4 journal pages) which corresponds to a total of 16 pages of double-spaced text, tables, figures, references, abstract, etc. Each figure counts as one page.

  • Each figure and table should be on a separate page.

  • Table and figure captions should be listed on a page, NOT under the table or figure.

  • Multi-component figures may take up more than one page (of the 16 pages allowed) if each component cannot be reduced to 1/6 of a JVST page.

  • The text should be DOUBLE-SPACED using a 12-point type font. Pages should have one inch margins on all sides.

  • Authors may include their internet e-mail addresses along with all other footnotes in the following format: Electronic mail: smith@foo.bar.com

Manuscripts not meeting standards will not be published.  Papers submitted after the deadline may be published in a later edition of J. Vac. Sci. Technol.
